Adult Confirmation Process

Confirmation for Adult Catholics in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is celebrated around the feast of the Baptism of the Lord and the Solemnity of Pentecost.

Eligible participants are practicing or returning Catholics who are:

Over the age of 18 and no longer in high school
Baptized and have received First Holy Communion
Received the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony according to the norms of the Catholic Church (if married)

Adult Confirmation preparation will include:

Presenting a current record of your baptism (dated within the last 6 months)
Choosing an eligible sponsor
Completing of the required paperwork and interview
Participation in the required preparation sessions, see our class schedule below
